ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

GETTING HERE

Once you enter the site, follow the signs for Visitors Centre and travel along the road where you will then arrive in our main car park and will find designated accessible parking bays. The main entrance is an accessible entrance with a wheelchair accessible path leading from the car park.

On entering the accessible doorway, you will see our Visitors Centre desk on the left. You will be warmly welcomed by the team and can make a staff member aware of any additional support you may require or any questions you may have.

DISTILLERY TOURS

Our Classic and Bonded Tours go through the production area, which are unfortunately inaccessible for those who have restricted mobility, due to steep stairs. Our staff will be aware of this as you will have already communicated on checking in. Once the tour of production is complete and the tour group return to the warehouse, you will be able re-join at this point for the remainder of the tour.

The tasting at the end of the tour is located in the tasting bond which is accessible using a lift.

ASSISTANCE ANIMALS

Assistance animals are welcome in our retail and tasting areas but are not permitted in the production area.

TOILETS

We have accessible toilets on the lower ground floor of the Visitors Centre building and there is a lift to support access if required. This is also where you can find our baby changing facilities.

CHILDREN

Due to health and safety reasons, children under 5 years old are not permitted in the distillery area, however, they are welcome in the retail and tasting area. Guests aged 5 - 18 years are permitted into the distillery but must be accompanied by an adult. We can assist with the heating of milk/food.

CLOTHING

As a traditional working distillery guests must wear sensible footwear on tours - no heels or opened toed shoes permitted.
