Many people believe that Scotch Whisky is a drink best served on its own, however a whisky cocktail is the perfect way to get into the party ‘spirit’ this Winter!
Together with our good friend Ryan Rhodes at Malmaison, Aberdeen we have created a Tullibardine cocktail of the month. This whisky cocktail is a wonderful opportunity to taste other sides of the spirit by adding ingredients which really enhance the flavour of Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Single Malt.
This month's whisky cocktail is: Seville Stave, a Tullibardine twist on the classic Rob Roy Whisky cocktail.
The main ingredient is: Tullibardine 1993.
Other Ingredients:
Add the marmalade and the bitters to a mixing glass and combine, add the other two ingredients and fill with ice. Stir the ingredients with ice until almost double the original volume. Double strain into a chilled martini glass and serve garnished with a large twist of orange zest.
Remember to pop into the Distillery Visitor’s Centre and pick up a jar of Tullibardine Marmalade!
Add that extra kick to your Mulled Wine this festive season with some Tullibardine Aged Oak. It is the perfect drink to take the bite off those cold winter nights and to bring the family together around the log fire.
Ingredients:
250ml water, 350g sugar, 4 cinnamon sticks, 8 cloves,1 tsp grated nutmeg, a handful of raisins, a handful of almond flakes, Zest & juice of 1 orange & 1 lemon.
2 bottles red wine, 2 shots Aged Oak Single Malt whisky
What to do:
Boil all dried ingredients, zest, sugar and water together and reduce to a syrupy consistency.
Add other liquid ingredients and warm gently (do not boil).
Making me thirsty already!
