 | | | Tullibardine 1993 - sherry barrel (John Black's Selection 3) 70cl bottle ABV 57.7% Price: £ 75
The third bottling specially selected by John Black for you to enjoy. This is something a little different coming from an ex sherry barrel, specially chosen by John to commemorate his 65th birthday and his 50th year in the industry! Limited to 259 bottles in this single cask bottling.
Nose: walnuts and almonds are in evidence at the start with a big helping of and all-spice. Upon opening up fully lots of honey and barley sugar aromas come to the fore. Enticing!
Taste: rich and mellow. Stewed soft fruits combine with strong grape like flavours. The pronounced sherry character develops and this marries well with the creamy vanilla element. On the finish there are distinctive crème caramel and butterscotch flavours.
A unique expression from a very unusual and unique cask. The combination of the american bourbon oak with the ex sherry matured element, make for an amazing series of flavours. Good length with well balanced acidity. Mellow tannins make this a pleasure to drink!
“good health”
