Deep amber with bronze highlights in appearance. On the nose medium-bodied, medium-dry and mature with a toffee nuttiness; with water, the richness comes out, with notes of apple, soft peat, some vintage orange and coconut.
Round and medium-bodied flavour with a touch of spice, soft toffee, a hint of espresso coffee and some softly chewy, mahogany flavoured oak.
Long, ethereal, and elegant with a leafy, green fruit note and finishing off with a delicate tail.

The 1993 single malt was put into old PX Casks in July 2007.
Colour reminiscent of dark brown Demerara sugar, on the nose there are elements of dates, almonds, ginger and chocolate. There is a lovely viscous texture to taste with an amazing mix of cinnamon, spice, ginger, honey, orange and dark chocolate on the finish which is smooth and well integrated with hints of the cereal notes of the original 1993 coming through at the back. |  | | |

Following careful monitoring by John and his team, Moscatel wood finish was bottled.
The Moscatel has been described as a very exciting and unusual bottling of fabulous colour and easy, soft flavours. Medium bodied, sweet and winey nose. Soft, fruity and chewy taste with a long, floral and raisiny with a tang of lemons finish.
Moscatel comes from the Muscat grape – a small type of grape that can be very sweet and aromatic. It is also a common name for several varieties of rich sweet wine.

A wonderful addition to our Wood Finish range.
A deep yellow gold colour with a plummy, sweet, Mirabelle fruit, chilled fresh fruit salad note with traces of orange citrus.
The taste is smooth and oily, the texture is round and fruity. A dessert time dram and a very nice one at that!
With a few drops of water the story only gets better, from very good to really exceptional - the sweet wine plumminess becomes volatile and brings an incredible, lasting finish.

Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked into an ‘Oloroso’ sherry cask for about 18 months and carefully monitored by the Distillery Manager prior to bottling.
Described as having a deep amber colour with a toffee, butterscotch and vanilla sweetness to the nose but when water is added a fruity and sweetly fragrance is released. A dry and fresh, mouth drying and spicy taste which when water is added gives a nuttiness to the taste.
Perfect with or without water – indeed a very drinkable dram!

This remarkable Blackford 1488 Whisky Ale is brewed with the pure crystal spring water and malted barley used in the distillation process. It is conditioned in individually numbered oak casks which have been used in the maturation of the majestic Tullibardine single malt Scotch whisky, its distinctive character beautifully balanced by the lightness of touch so familiar to Tullibardine connoisseurs the world over.
